Skiing in Slovakia – Jasná Day 1

Jasná, Slovensko

Friday 11 February was the first day of skiing in Jasná, Slovakia. Despite arriving around 4am, we decided to hit the slopes early. The weather looked good at first but it got warm quite quickly so the snow was not the best for skiing.

The reason you hear me saying ‘Übel, nonono‘ is because for some reason the people in Jasná figured it would be a good idea to put wood as the floor of the lift exit, so I had to lift my skies up to not destroy the ski surface

After skiing for a while on mediocre, wet snow, we went for lunch. I had Schnitzel and Hash Browns.

As the conditions were really not great for skiing and I was quite exhausted after not having slept so much, I decided to call it a day and headed back to the hotel to relax a little. My power nap ended up taking 3 hours.

Apparently the sleep did me well since I managed to win one of the games at the party later.

Here’s me and Marie, a friend from uni, holding a random trophy we found symbolising our victory.

Ahoj!
